At Automax®, we’re always excited to see the next chapter in performance engineering and this one’s a big one. Ram Trucks is officially reigniting its performance legacy. During Stellantis’ Q3 2025 revenues call, CEO Antonio Filosa announced that two all-new SRT-badged trucks will debut within the next 90 days. For performance enthusiasts and off-road adventurers alike, that means one thing the TRX is back, and it’s bringing a new era of power with it.
The wait is over the Ram 1500 TRX is officially set to return in January 2026. This powerhouse, known as the apex predator of pickup trucks, will once again be powered by the iconic 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI® HELLCAT V8. Expect an incredible 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, delivered through the proven 8HP95 TorqueFlite automatic transmission.
Ram’s engineers are keeping the same raw power formula while integrating the truck into the brand’s new Atlantis electrical architecture. This means the 2026 TRX will deliver that familiar performance thrill now enhanced with smarter connectivity, safety systems, and in-cabin technology.
Styling updates will align with the 2026 Ram 1500 RHO, giving the TRX a refreshed and aggressive look. Expect new LED lighting, an even bolder hood scoop, and aerodynamic refinements designed for high-speed off-road control.
Inside, the TRX gets a major luxury upgrade a massive 14.4-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen, a 10.25-inch passenger display, Head-Up Display (HUD), and even massaging front seats for ultimate comfort on long drives. Ram may also answer fan requests with an available 37-inch tire package, further enhancing its off-road dominance and stance.
While the TRX’s comeback has grabbed headlines, Ram’s second SRT model remains a secret but insiders suggest something truly exciting: a HEMI-powered Ram 1500 RHO.
The current RHO uses a 3.0-liter twin-turbo HURRICANE High Output I6, producing 540 horsepower and 521 lb-ft of torque. However, many loyal Ram fans have longed for the unmistakable sound and character of a naturally aspirated V8.
Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis confirmed that a 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 RHO is under serious consideration. Delivering 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque, this version would cater to enthusiasts who crave traditional V8 muscle but at a more attainable price point.
A HEMI-powered RHO wouldn’t replace the TRX instead, it would complement it. Built with the same rugged suspension setup, Bilstein™ shocks, and 35-inch off-road tires, this truck could serve as the perfect weekend warrior machine, combining capability with old-school engine feel.
With two SRT-branded models set to debut soon, Ram is making a clear statement: performance is far from over. While others shift focus to electrification, Ram continues to champion power, emotion, and heritage. From the roar of the HELLCAT engine to the precision of SRT engineering, these upcoming trucks are designed to dominate both the street and the desert.
